It is Revealed One of the Minneapolis Cops Charged in George Floyd’s Killing was Hired Despite Having a Criminal Record with Seven Convictions and a Slew of Traffic Violations

Former Minneapolis police officer Thomas Lane, 37, (pictured left) was convicted for criminal charges and traffic violations seven times before joining the force. The convictions included four traffic violations as well as criminal charges of obstructing the legal process, damaging property and hosting a noisy gathering. The Minneapolis Police Department has released Lane’s personnel file which revealed he previously worked as a juvenile correctional officer and assistant probation officer. Lane is now charged with aiding and abetting the murder of George Floyd (pictured bottom center) during an arrest on Memorial Day after holding down his legs as senior officer Derek Chauvin knelt on his neck (pictured right).
